The Hooman Asbaghi Case

A filing is not a verdict. Nothing on this site is a finding of liability.

Farideh Kavesh

File 03

Who is Farideh Kavesh

Farideh Kavesh is Hooman Asbaghi’s mother. She is vice-chair of Padtan Elm, the Tehran diagnostics company whose 1996 articles she signed. She is vice-chair of Pathobiology Laboratory Center. A 2023 minute names her managing director there. The laboratory’s own pages print CEO. The laboratory proclaims itself one of the largest and most equipped medical laboratories in the country. That is what it prints about itself.

In 1999 he signed a power of attorney that authorized her to buy and sell company shares, attend meetings, open and operate bank accounts, and act without a further signature from him. A 31 July 2003 minute is the first collected page that prints his shares under that instrument. Lists in 2018 and 2022 still print him at 250 of 1,000 shares the same way.

She is named in Asbaghi vs Asbaghi, San Diego Superior Court, 25CU01380C. The claim is financial exclusion from that company’s success. A filing is not a verdict.

Farideh Kavesh

Tucson, 1957–1967

Documented

A KLM passenger manifest for flight KL 601, 27 June 1957, Amsterdam to New York, prints KAVESH, Farideh.

The Tucson Daily Citizen prints Farideh Kavesh of Iran as vice president of the University of Arizona International Students Club, and on 21 October 1960 as a senior nursing student from Iran. A later Citizen plate names Miss Farideh Kavesh, from Tehran, a University of Arizona graduate, among eight medical-technologist trainees at Tucson Medical Center. A campus plate captions Farideh Kavesh of Iran with President Richard A. Harvill.

A marriage index prints ASBAGHI ALI T, 33, and KAVESH FARIDEH, 34, in December 1967. Ali T. is the short form of the name that later appears in the son’s printed style, Hooman Ali Tabatabaei Asbaghi. Passports in this file name Farideh Kavesh, born 15 June 1934 in Iran, a United States citizen. The biodata stay off this page.

Unconfirmed

A second public face that independently names Ali T. Asbaghi as the later Seyed Ali. The index is the parents’ line. It is not a certified certificate.

The laboratory

Pathobiology Laboratory Center names her CEO

The Rasmio company page for register 13884 prints مدیرعامل فریده کاوش — Farideh Kavesh as CEO — and سیدمهدی مقیمی as board chair. Gazette 1402/08/22 (13 November 2023) of board minutes 1402/06/29 (20 September 2023) names her نایب رئیس هیئت مدیره و مدیرعامل through 1404/06/29 (20 September 2025). That is how the laboratory names her on the register and on the gazette. Certificates and the contracted institutions sit on Pathobiology Laboratory Center.

Two boards

The same names, two rooms

Her Rasmio profile prints three companies on one table. 1393–1395. That face is three boards. The table’s laboratory line says board member. The gazette that names her CEO is the 13 November 2023 text in the section above. This table is not that gazette.

Then the doctors at her laboratory. The building directory prints DR. A.R. KOROURIAN M.D. and DR. M. GEROWGAN. The physicians table on path-lab.ir names علیرضا کروریان as Quality Control Manager. Farideh is not on that table. Gerowgan is not on that table. He is on the laboratory gazette as a board member.

Then the company whose 1996 articles she signed. The Padtan Elm gazette names Alireza Korourian chairman and Farideh Kavesh vice-chair. Later lists print her at 250 of 1,000. After 1999, his printed 250 is the 1999 power of attorney. The same printed names sit on the laboratory door and on the kit-company board.

Overlap of officers is documented. It is not a finding that the laboratory and Padtan Elm are one legal person. The longer file is on Pathobiology Laboratory Center.

The 1999 instrument

Named as his attorney

His account
He says the 1999 power of attorney let her run his Padtan Elm share in his absence, and that he received nothing for what she did with it.
Documented

A 1999 (1378) notarial power of attorney, office 198, names Hooman as principal and Farideh Kavesh as attorney. Continuation powers as printed include opening and operating bank accounts, buying and selling company shares, attending meetings, and acting so that a further signature from the principal is not required. The English lines are an assist. The Farsi original controls. The page beside this sentence is that instrument. The file is on The 1999 power of attorney.

A later instrument, 25 August 2013 (3 Shahrivar 1392), from notary office 815, is a different paper. Office 815 is not office 198. It is not the 1999 instrument, and it is not a 14 January 2013 share deed.

A 31 July 2003 Padtan minute is the first collected page that prints his shares “with the power of attorney of Farideh Kavesh.”

Unconfirmed
What she did with that authority at each later meeting. That he was paid. That every signature in his name after 1999 is hers. A 25 August 2013 page is not the 1999 instrument.

California company

Named with Ommid on Trans In’Tech

His account
He says Trans In’Tech was opened as a cover while Padtan Elm was being built, and that she knew and supported it.
Documented
Trans In’Tech, LLC was filed in California on 12 July 1996, document 199619410017. Public dumps that cite the Secretary of State name Ommid Asbaghi as manager. A network chart in this file prints Farideh Kavesh on the same face. A directory still prints scientific research, medical research, and diagnostic equipment. The full company record — including the Active / Inactive conflict — sits on Trans In’Tech.
Unconfirmed
That the company was a cover. That she directed it. The chart is not a finding of wrongdoing.

Named as an Apple ID

farideh.kavesh@icloud.com, on Apple’s template

His account
He says they never Family-Shared. On 1 December 2022 he wrote that the iCloud address sat as a folder on his Proton mailbox, with the username ommid-farideh, and that a network analyzer named Fing was on his devices. He asked that it be stopped.
Documented

A 2020 Apple alert prints the address farideh.kavesh@icloud.com and greets Dear Ommid. It says that Apple ID was used to download ICQ — Messenger & Video Calls on a computer or device that had not previously been used. The still in this file is a forward. It does not print a To: line.

A 1 December 2022 letter from him, forwarded onward the same night, names that iCloud address and the Proton folder. The letter is what he wrote.

An 18 April 2024 Apple News+ receipt in this file prints a masked Apple ID on yahoo.com, billed in San Diego. That receipt does not print farideh.kavesh@icloud.com.

This page does not retry that mailbox. The mailbox file is one window.

Unconfirmed

That she Family-Shared an Apple ID with him. That the 2020 template proves she read his mail. That the yahoo.com receipt is the same account as farideh.kavesh@icloud.com. An Apple greeting that says Dear Ommid is not a finding of a shared family account.

If you want the 2024 receipt on this page as her Apple ID, the missing face is an unmasked order that prints farideh.kavesh@icloud.com, or a face that ties that yahoo account to her. Until then the receipt stays a separate still.

Two instruments, 24 October 2024

His account
He says they made a deal in Dubai that month: she would give him power of attorney to recover funds from three UAE banks as compensation for Padtan Elm. He says he was told that paper was a full power of attorney. He says a second paper went out the same afternoon to other lawyers.
Documented

Two Dubai Courts instruments issued 24 October 2024, thirty-three minutes apart.

The 14:08 paper, SN2024/0000439284, names Farideh Kavesh as principal and Hooman Ali as attorney. The printed powers are inquiry: ask the Central Bank and UAE banks about her accounts, loans, murabaha, facilities, deposits; obtain statements and discharge certificates; sign what is needed to inspect. The printed powers are not withdrawal and not a redirect.

The 14:40 paper, SN2024/0000438514, names Marwan Mohamed Ahmed Noor Al-Mazmi and Ammar Ali Ahmed Ali Al-Mulla. That grant is general in lawsuits, settlement, and estate banking.

Public listings print Marwan Mohamed Al Maazmi as head of litigation at Fotis International Law Firm. They do not print him as CEO. AMCO Law Firm’s public page styles itself Ammar Almulla Advocates and Legal Consultants and still describes Fotis International. A directory still for Ammar Almulla Advocates uses the Business Bay tower and office number also printed for Fotis. Those are directory faces. They are not a finding that either advocate was her retained counsel, or that she chose the 14:40 grant.

Dubai Islamic Bank’s legal department wrote on 6 January 2025 that a 9 December 2024 notice did not match its records. A 17 December 2024 recovery contract names him as agent. A 12 December draft invoice is addressed to her. The originals, the DIB letter, the invoice, and the wire are on the 2024 Dubai power of attorney.

On 18 February 2026 Kavan Bakhda of Mishcon de Reya wrote that he and Chris had spoken that morning with Mr Drahmoune of Fotis Law. Mishcon’s stated reading on that call was that the power of attorney is investigative. Bakhda recorded Drahmoune as saying the Fotis instrument gave Hooman access and full authority to operate the accounts, and that Drahmoune would send that paper and mark the clause. Bakhda also wrote that Drahmoune said Fotis contacted DIB, FAB and ADIB and only DIB replied. The copy Drahmoune said he would send is not in this file. No later writing from Fotis Law or from Drahmoune is in this file. The 14:08 Courts paper still prints inquiry.

A 10 February 2025 Horizons & Co invoice billed to her prints the matter as POA revocation. It does not name the 14:08 paper or the 14:40 paper.

Unconfirmed
That the 14:08 paper is a full power of attorney. That the 14:40 paper revoked it. That UAE banks paid under either instrument. That she retained King & Spalding or the recovery consultant. That either 14:40 advocate is CEO of Fotis. That Drahmoune or Fotis Law later put the full-grant confirmation in writing. That the Horizons bill revoked the 14:08 paper, the 14:40 paper, or either.

The suit

Named in Asbaghi vs Asbaghi, San Diego Superior Court, 25CU01380C, filed 17 March 2025. The live claim is financial exclusion. A filing is not a verdict.

Mother; vice-chair and CEO of Pathobiology Laboratory Center

On the record. Passport pages are on the 2024 Dubai power of attorney. They are not reprinted in this sentence. An 18 February 2026 email from Kavan Bakhda of Mishcon de Reya records Mr Drahmoune of Fotis Law as saying the Fotis instrument gave full authority to operate the accounts. The copy Drahmoune said he would send is not in this file.

Not established. A money trail showing she paid him, or that she did not. That Trans In’Tech was a cover. That she Family-Shared an Apple ID with him — he says they did not; the 2020 alert is a forward without a To: line. That the 2024 Dubai inquiry instrument authorized withdrawal or that UAE banks paid under it — the printed 14:08 powers are inquiry, and DIB denied a later notice. That the 14:40 lawsuit-and-estate grant revoked the 14:08 inquiry paper — those two Courts faces do not print a revocation. A 10 February 2025 Horizons invoice prints POA revocation as a billed matter and does not name which instrument. That King & Spalding or the recovery consultant were retained by her — those faces name him as client or as agent. That Drahmoune or Fotis Law later put that full-grant confirmation in writing — the promised copy is not in this warehouse. That they stopped writing after 18 February 2026 is the empty shelf, not a signed withdrawal.
