The Hooman Asbaghi Case

Section 04

The account

This is how he says he found it. It is the spine of his claims. It is not itself an exhibit. Where the narrative and a scanned document disagree, the document controls.

How this page is built

Each chapter is a list of claims. Load-bearing sentences are checked against a named original or a public page. The manuscript is not reprinted in full. Device-pairing and implant-construction detail is not published here.

What this site will not write

It will not write that Scripps or Richard Walker is guilty. Those are his conclusions. Official denials stay in the file. A letter that says “standard Stryker” is an exhibit. It does not close the inquiry.

Source: Folder 1, 3. Hooman Asbaghi Story.pdf, and the Google Doc “Hooman Asbaghi Story updated.” First person.

He first treated Padtan Elm as the strongest piece. The medical file stays open because of thin notes, the 675/677 split, and Sheean on a 2016 lab against a later staff statement that she does not know that name. Those conflicts are documented. They are not yet a device.

Chapter 1 · 1990–1999

Early work in Iran

Claim. Palmaz-Schatz stent introductions with Bernard Valeix; Biotech Ltd.; Ghasemi trained while travel-restricted; Padtan Elm co-founded in 1995 with Farideh Kavesh, Nargues Djavad, and Alireza Amiri Gharagozloo at 25% each; ELISA kits; 1999 return to the US and a Tehran power of attorney.

On the documents. The Palmaz-Schatz calendar makes 1991–93 work in Iran possible: first coronary implant December 1987; international coronary use already underway by 1991, including Europe; U.S. iliac approval 1991; U.S. coronary PMA August 1994. That U.S. date is not a worldwide start date. Tehran hospital histories date angioplasty expansion to 1370 SH (March 1991–March 1992). Valeix is a real name on Ghasemi’s CV and on Wiktor papers — a different stent. No warehouse page prints Hooman on a Palmaz-Schatz shipment. Founding paper (Docs6, 1996) names four people, not Narges. He named her as a co-founder; keep the claim. She is an equal shareholder by October 2002, managing director by May 2012, and listed as manager/MD on public directories at plaque 50. Kit photos and padtan.com Wayback from 2002 are a public footprint. The 1999 power of attorney is documented. Biotech Ltd. stays claimed until that face is mounted.

Chapter 2 · 1994–2013

Share transfer

Claim. The 1999 power of attorney (he cites instrument 0829249) was used on 14 Jan 2013 at No. 26 Shahid Sarparast Ave. to move his 250/1000 shares and strip assets into Padtan Teb. Kianoosh Behlouli, described here as Chief Inspector 2010–2012, said he was not present. padtanteb.ir has no real footprint before 2013. He says he has received nothing from the company.

On the documents. The power of attorney exists; warehouse continuation pages print serials in the 08292xx series and include share-trading powers. Behlouli’s Farsi letter is the original; English retellings are old assists. Official gazettes print him as alternate inspector, Amargaran as principal, through the 14 January 2013 window — that is witness credibility, not a verdict. Rasmio reprints those rows. A gazette of the same calendar day adds “export of all permitted goods” to the objects; it is not the share deed. The deed has not been mounted. If concealment is the theory, that absence is expected; it is not itself the proof. May 2012 minutes name him because they pre-date the alleged taking. 2016 gazette still names him vice-chair; 2018, July 2022, and November 2022 lists still print 250 shares, with Farideh as attorney on the 2018 page and an attorney notation on the November 2022 attendance list. After 1999 those listings are read as her using the instrument. His claim that he received nothing stays alleged until a money trail. Even if the 2013 transfer cannot be shown, the claim is that he was excluded from control and proceeds. February 2017: he is already plaintiff against Padtan Elm in Tehran. Calendar around the alleged week: 14 January objects gazette; 23 June first padtanteb.ir archive; 1 July EO 13645 / IFCA effective. Those dates are real. They are not a finding that a shell was created to evade sanctions. Padtan Teb’s own copy claims 1366 / 1369 / 1990; a new website is not a new legal entity. The 2024 official notice to Ghasemi and Narges belongs later in the story.

Chapter 2.5 · 1991–2016

Ghasemi, Nipro, Nydegger

Claim. Ghasemi trained at Scripps under Teirstein then Saeed. Nipro licensed a safety-syringe patent. Nydegger malpractice: San Diego Superior Court 37-2013-00066639-CU-PN-CTL, jury $61.6 million on 20 Oct 2016.

On the documents. Asbaghi v. Nydegger caption and verdict date are public. Ghasemi’s CV, read off the PDF: Imam Khomeini attending; interventional fellowship Tehran University 1991–1992; France 1993; Royal Marsden 1994; Royal Brompton 1996; Scripps Clinic endovascular certificate 2003. Printed references, as written: Dr B. Valeix; M. Saeed, Head, Division of Vascular Radiology, Scripps Clinic, La Jolla; Dr Paul S. Teirstein, Head, Department of Cardiology, Scripps Clinic, La Jolla. Richard Schatz is not listed. Those lines are references, not a 1990s trainer log. The 2003 Scripps certificate is an independent match to the claim he was brought to San Diego around 2000/2003. It is not proof Hooman made the introduction. A 2002 Madayen/Bionic board page prints Hooman and Ghasemi together. Mohsin Saeed, MD, is the reasonable public identity behind “M. Saeed” on that CV — Scripps.org vascular/IR, La Jolla — and is pinned for later. A verdict against a patent lawyer is not a finding that Scripps implanted a radio.

Chapter 3 · 1993–2013

Zanetti / Gerloni / Iranome

Claim. A long IP fight used to hide genomic work; covert trials 2007–2013; Roche/PTELM figures; Deutsche Bank Iranian flows as background.

On the documents. CONTEXT until lawsuit dockets and Roche source pages exist. Dollar figures, including $132 million / 42% royalties, stay holdback. Iranome is a documented public catalog (Illumina platform on its FAQ; University of Toronto on the public about copy). No page currently attributes that catalog to Padtan, Farideh, or Hooman. Capability in the same country is not ownership.

Chapter 4 · 2013–2017

Health decline and two hips

Claim. RF/EMF in living spaces; right THA 9 Oct 2015 and left THA 23 Oct 2017 under Walker and Schmidt, Stryker Secur-Fit / Trident / Biolox; unauthorized smart modifications; a 2015 Iran trip over a false LinkedIn CEO listing.

On the documents. Surgeries and later Stryker part lists are documented. Smart modifications remain his theory. Walker/Scripps sentences denying electronics stay on the table as sentences, not as the end of the case. Device-scan stills are not published as pairing instructions. A Scripps note names labs and a DEXA from Iran; the Iran testosterone is sourced as “patient states.” That is not a named dump from his mother’s lab.

Chapter 5 · 2016–2025

Vibration, portal gaps, discovery

Claim. Empty 26 Apr 2017 note; surgeries missing from a visit list; Walker retired/2027; Risk letter 27 May 2025; sister as Pedal co-captain; Colwell as Padres physician; Walker as Scripps CEO/President 2007–2015; Dubai accounts and a March 2025 family lawsuit.

On the documents. Portal and press faces exist. Walker’s public title is President and CEO of Scripps Clinic Medical Group, not Scripps Health the hospital system; the 2007–2015 window is not locked from the bio. Dubai 4.6 billion stays holdback until source files exist. Folder 4 and Folder 6 are one clinical file on this site. MTHFR exists; “never consented” stays alleged until a consent packet or a staff sentence says so.
